The small-hole optical encoder is compatible with these frames: B-Line, HandiQuilter (older model), Inspira (Original), Hinterberg (Original and Stretch), and New Joy (Magic and Gold Standard).

Aftermarket Replacements for long-arm
Designed for use with certain stitch-regulated long-arm sewing machines (18″ and larger). Built to OEM-quality standards.
Y-cable, Round Connector, 4-wire (R4W)
An aftermarket y-cable that directly replaces the wiring harness connecting the stitch regulator's main control box to both optical encoders. This 4-wire y-cable replaces the factory original and gives solid electrical connections for precise machine performance. Made in Taiwan.
Important: carefully inspect your existing/original y-cable to make sure it's compatible.
Y-cable, Square Connector, 3-wire (S3W)
An aftermarket y-cable that directly replaces the wiring harness connecting the stitch regulator's main control box to both optical encoders. This model has a square, phonejack-style plug and 3-wire small connectors. It replaces the factory original and gives solid electrical connections for precise machine performance. Made in the USA.
Important: carefully inspect your existing/original y-cable to make sure it's compatible. Wire colors may vary from those shown; this does not affect function.

Optical Encoder for Long-Arm — Style A
A high-precision aftermarket optical encoder that replaces the original black encoder on long-arm machines with built-in stitch regulation, including Pfaff 18.8, HV 18×8, Tin Lizzie (original and 18LS), and Queen Quilter models.
Style A restores the accurate speed sensing that consistent stitch regulation depends on. 5/16″ mounting hole. Made in the USA.

1. Stand-alone purchase
Buy Now items must be purchased separately and may not be combined with any other items listed on our website.
2. Expedited processing time
Buy Now orders receive priority handling and are typically processed and prepared for shipment within 48 hours (Mon–Fri, excluding federal holidays).
"Processing time" refers to order handling and preparation only; it does not include transit time.
3. Shipping to US addresses only
The purchase price includes shipment via USPS Priority Mail to a valid US address. Delivery timelines are determined by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Once an order has been transferred to USPS, transit time is outside of our control.
4. Pricing / fee structure
Buy Now pricing includes a $5 expedited processing fee in addition to the product price. The listed Buy Now price also includes USPS Priority Mail shipping to a US address. A Buy Now purchase assumes agreement and acknowledgement with the pricing structure.
5. Order accuracy & changes
Due to the nature of Buy Now processing, orders cannot be edited, modified, or changed after placement and payment. Customers are responsible for confirming item selection and shipping address accuracy before completing checkout.
